TLC Program

At Clare’s House, our mission is to offer helping hands and hope to pet owners who need safe, compassionate care for their beloved dogs during short-term hurdles like illness or injuries. Clare’s House steps in and gives our furry friends a temporary home until the dog and owner can be safely reunited.

​To achieve this mission, Clare’s House depends on the kindness of others to open their homes and hearts to foster another family’s beloved pet on a temporary basis. By ensuring a family’s beloved dog will be well-cared for, loved, and treated with kindness, our foster families help us deliver on our promise.

​Clare’s House is always looking for loving fosters, and we offer unique advantages for our volunteers.

• ​Clare’s House builds our own network of foster families who are passionate about providing loving and safe homes.
• We believe our model of focusing on taking care of people—along with our love of dogs—makes fostering a much easier and positive experience.
• Our dogs awaiting short term homes are the beloved members of someone’s family, and do not come from rescues, shelters, or pounds.
• Dogs will be medically screened and arrive at their temporary home with all shots and vaccines needed to ensure the health and well-being of the dog, any pets you may have, and you and your family.
• We provide resources and supplies, including food, treats, toys, vet care, and other pet-related expenses.
• A Clare’s House dedicated Care Coordinator will be your point of contact throughout your TLC experience. Your Care Coordinator will partner with you to ensure you have all the resources and support you need to welcome a family pet into your home.

If you love dogs or desire to help families in need, or both, become a TLC with Clare’s House! To assist our TLC families, we will also happily accept any donations of supplies like blankets, toys, food, treats and kennels.
